1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use levee.trade, the Levee app and API, and any page that links here (together, “Levee”). Levee is operated by [operator’s legal name, form and registered address] (“we”, “us”). By using Levee you agree to these terms, the privacy notice and the risk disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use Levee.
2. What Levee is
Levee is an interface to smart contracts on Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663): liquidity pools, vaults, range orders, a launch pipeline and the contracts that collect and route protocol fees. It also offers perpetual futures on Lighter, an exchange we do not operate, and an off-chain API that serves market data, ideas and points. The contracts run on a public network; anyone can call them without this interface.
3. Your keys, your funds
Levee is non-custodial, with the two exceptions in sections 4 and 5. You connect your own wallet and sign every transaction in it. We never hold your private keys or seed phrase, and we cannot move, freeze or recover your funds. Every Levee contract is non-upgradeable and has no admin function that touches user positions. Transactions on a blockchain are final: we cannot reverse, cancel or refund one.
You are responsible for your wallet, its keys and every transaction you sign.
4. First exception: the Lighter order key
To trade perps without a wallet prompt for each order, you can bind an order key to your Lighter account. When you do, our signing service generates the key, stores it encrypted and uses it only for requests your wallet has signed: placing orders (with any exits you attach), cancelling orders and setting leverage, each inside fixed price and size bounds. The key cannot withdraw or transfer funds. Binding a key needs your wallet, and binding a different key to the same slot from your wallet replaces it.
A trading key can still lose money through the orders it signs. Lighter’s own terms govern your Lighter account. The perps chapter explains the bounds in detail.
5. Second exception: hedged-vault margin on Lighter
A hedged vault keeps its short on Lighter, and Lighter only lets an account trade once its owner signs with an ordinary wallet key, which a smart contract cannot do. So each hedged vault’s margin is deposited into a Lighter account owned by that vault’s funder key, which we hold, kept offline and used for that vault alone. Whoever holds that key can withdraw the margin sitting on Lighter. The contract limits how much can ever be sent there: at most 10 % of the vault’s on-chain assets per call and 25 % per day. Our signing service holds an order key for the account, which trades and cannot withdraw.
While margin is on Lighter, part of a hedged vault’s value depends on that key being kept safe and on us returning margin to the vault when it is needed. The hedged vaults chapter explains the procedure.
6. Who may use Levee
You may use Levee only if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old and can enter into a binding agreement.
- You are not located in, resident in or organised under the laws of a place where using Levee is prohibited or where we have chosen not to offer it: [restricted jurisdictions, to be set by counsel].
- You are not named on, or owned or controlled by anyone named on, a sanctions list.
- You will not use a VPN or any other means to get around these limits.
Whether Levee is lawful where you are is for you to check. We may block access from any location.
7. Beta software
Levee is beta software. Smart contracts can contain bugs, and a bug can lose some or all of the funds held in them; the risk disclaimer sets out the risks. Features may change or be withdrawn without notice. We may pause or remove parts of the interface or the API at any time. Pausing the interface never stops you from using the contracts directly.
8. No advice
Everything in Levee - prices, rates, simulations, ideas, points and documentation - is information, not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and not an offer or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Ideas are posted by other users and are their own opinions. Make your own decisions and get your own advice.
9. Fees
Contracts charge the protocol fees written into them; the app shows them before you sign. Part of each fee goes to the referrer who brought you, if any. You also pay network gas, and Lighter charges its own fees. We may change fees only by deploying new contracts; deployed ones cannot be changed.
10. Ideas you post
An idea is signed by your wallet and shown publicly with your address. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it. We may hide or remove ideas from the interface and the API that are unlawful, misleading, abusive or spam.
11. Points
Points are a record of activity. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and are not a promise of any token, reward or payment. We may change how points are counted, correct them or end the programme.
12. What you must not do
- Break any law, including sanctions, anti-money-laundering and market-abuse rules.
- Manipulate prices or volumes, trade with yourself to farm points, or exploit a bug for gain.
- Attack, overload, scrape at volume or try to get around the limits of the interface or the API.
- Impersonate anyone or post content that infringes someone else’s rights.
13. Other services
Levee works with services we do not control: your wallet, Robinhood Chain and its RPC providers, Lighter, Uniswap pools, wallet connection relays and token issuers. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct. A token listed in Levee is not endorsed by us.
14. No warranty
Levee is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it is accurate, secure, uninterrupted or fit for any purpose.
15. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss caused by smart contracts, networks, third-party services, market movements or your own actions. Our total liability is limited to [cap, to be set by counsel]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes with them, and a material change is shown in the app before your next transaction. Using Levee after a change means you accept it.
17. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by [governing law]. Disputes go to [forum or arbitration rules].
